Modelling Workflow Methods Confluence

I'm of the opinion that when you've got a wonderful piece of software, the methods and techniques utilized to create things should be consistent throughout that application. Revit, in this regard, is very fragmented. The methods used for creating masses is very different from those when creating a model-in-place component. I feel the tools/techniques available in one mode should be available, mostly, in all modeling modes.

Having to create an unusually shaped, organic wall by sculpting a mass and then making a wall by face is convoluted and awkward at best. Wouldn't it be really nice to be able to just use those tools WHEN creating a wall???

And, why are the rules so very different when working in the family editor? I should be able to use a decal in a family- why can't I? And, I should be able to copy/paste many type of objects from project into family, and from annotation families into model families. Lines are lines, kind of.

Coalesce, combine, unify and simplify.
