In Place Models Follow elevations or modify sub-elements

I am have created two slabs for a parking structure that has differing elevations throughout.  Between two of the slabs, we need to show a curb.  I have used the in-place model tool show this curb and it looks great in one area... Because the elevation changes throughout the slab it would nice if the in place model tool would also follow the elevation changes.  This will make life a lot easier with we need to detail it and to make sure everything will work before building in the field.  If it can't follow the elevation of the slab then it would be helpful if we could modify the sub-elements of the in place model; this way we can manually change the elevation at specific points to match the slab.  I know I could use the floor tool to accomplish this, however, it wouldn't have the profile we need.

I think it is a In-Place Model generated from a Sweep, so:

Did you try to use "Pick 3D Edges" when drawing the sweep's path? (picking edges of the one of the slaps). I use it, and it works for me.

Thank you, I never used that option before.  There is still an issue when the curb end meets the curb start point; it doesn't want to close and wants to delete the element.  My workaround is to leave a very small gap about 1/16" between the two and it works great.  Thank you for the tip.
