"Central File Path" and "User Name" parameters for Labels in Titleblocks

It's nice to have the "File Path" parameter for use by Labels in Titleblocks. This currently tells us the user who made the print, as well as the project number and Revit version (because of our file & folder naming conventions). However, I think it would be more useful to have a "Central File Path" parameter (along with a "User Name" parameter so we don't loose that information without having to show both paths). Sometimes the file name is not a complete indication of the location of the central file (especially on more complex projects).

I wish the whole "Central/Local" process for Desktop Revit would be hidden to the user like it is in C4R.

There are far too many ways to mess up.

Especially for new users, having to explain the dual files is unnecessarily complex.

Agree!  I've been wishing for the UserName parameter in plot stamps for as long as I've been using Revit.

As CAD manager and BIM manager, the three things I've needed in plot stamps are: WHO printed it, WHEN it was printed, and WHAT file was printed.

Thanks!

Especially needed since I just discovered that BIM360 doesn't append the user name to local files...

It would also be good to have the central file name separated from the full path (see Showing the “file name” on the title block, for example). Some clients have a spot in the border - we currently use Egan Project Startup (free; check "Central File Path" on the "Central File Name" tab; see also my configuration notes).

FilePath: (Revit file central with drawing sheet no.)

Any idea how to do it in revit title block
