SSBIM for Revit: Work Planes

In the Revit modeling process, work planes often limit the workflow. For instance, model lines can only be drawn on the work plane, and point snapping is restricted to the current work plane, making it impossible to snap points in a 3D space mode. Therefore, in environments involving the positioning and modeling of steel structure parts (which we call more granularity modeling environments), setting work planes is a frequent task. The work plane setting options provided by the Revit system are too simplistic and inadequate for these needs. To address this, SSBIM has designed many convenient ways to set work planes. Hello,

thanks for posting this idea and sharing the video - this is very informative.

I acknowledge that there is room for improvement in the detailed modeling of steel (and not only steel) structures.

We have this on our radar - that's why we have a dedicated card on our public roadmap > LINK.
