Family's Shared Parameters Don't Show Up in View Filters

Currently Shared Parameters built into families show up in Schedule fields but not View Filters.  This feels like an overlooked feature that should already work.

The only way to get them to show up in view filters is to add them as Project Parameters (an undesirable workaround).  Adding as project parameters clutters the properties of families that do not need these parameters.  This slows down workflow and can cause confusion for less experienced users.

I have not yet seen any good reason put forth by Autodesk apologists as to why this was designed this way. It makes no since. You should be able to filter by shared parameters. If the parameter is not in the family it should just automatically not be collected by the filter.

Why was this designed in such an inefficient and obtuse way? Having to set a shared parameter as a project parameter throws a lot of useless parameter in all the elements in the selected categories.
