Fixed Grid

One thing that in my opinion is a huge item is a Grid that looks like a Work Plane Grid but behaves like Reference Planes or Grid Lines. It has always been the core of drafting, even back in the days of pencil and paper.

We would use graph paper and even in CAD, I've never seen a piece of software that didn't have a grid that originated at 0, 0, 0 for the purpose of lining things up.

The Work Plane Grid would be perfect except that they of course move and there is a different Grid for each level. Reference Planes and Grid Lines work great but it's a matter of creating them one by one.

AutoCAD even has this system with Major and Minor grid lines. I would think this would be super easy to implement in Revit. I have always used a grid to develop my floor plans and continuing through the various layers and views to make sure everything is "dead on".

I currently use Grid Lines to keep things lined up but being able to toggle a grid on and off that is non-printable and could be set up to, for instance, 2' majors with 6" minors would be extremely beneficial. I think the average user would love the feature.
