View tag differentiation

Hello,

I posted this as a wishlist & support request item quite a while ago and it has been recommended that I post the item here as well in the hopes of increasing visibility.

The problem:

When placing a view tag for second (or more) view reference, we have the option to place text / notation next to the tag (i.e. SIM, TYP, OH, or nothing at all). This is great if all of the view conditions are identical. The problem is that they rarely are identical conditions and as a result, the notation becomes invalid. Currently, it appears that the only way to override this is to have nothing at all there, and float a text box next to the tag with the correct information (Hoping that somehow, despite the odds, it will not drift)

My idea:

Along with having a type parameter, offer an instance specific notation option to allow for individual notation based upon specific situations and idiosyncrasies.

Thanks,

Loren

Thanks for taking the time to submit your idea. Unfortunately, this idea did not get the support of the community over the last 6 months and as such we will not be pursuing it at this time. Please feel free to rework (titles and clear descriptions are really important) and resubmit this one down the road.
