MEP vertical stacked pipes, would love to see stacked in 2D linework

Here's the thing, we model our MEP pipes correctly as they appear in real life, some times they are stacked vertically.

Don't shoot me... but we need to show these pipes in 2D on our plans (I know, I know....)

rather than having to force an 3D view or section to show the stack, it would be fantastic if we can show the 2D line work in an offset array depicting the stack (the same way we used to do in CAD or manually.)

This combined with the ability to have text or symbols in the linestyles would make life much eaiser!

Thanks hoping that other feel the same.

Great idea! There's even a precedent in Revit for having multiple representations for a single object in Revit. When structural engineers model a beam they can choose to show the physical representation (the 3D representation) in a different location than the analytical representation (a 3D line). If we could model the 3D pipes where we expect them to be built and then pull a 2D representation off to the side, so that they are visible in plan views, we could have the best of both worlds.

@Anonymous Hi Laura,

can you please explain what you mean by offset array?

Thanks
