PDF Default Save Location

Ability to set a default location for exporting PDFs in the settings -- Every time I restart the software the default goes back to my Documents folder.

It would also be nice if this setting could be stored with the model, so that each project could have its own designated PDF print folder.

In the version 2022 of Revit you can set a default folder for the integrated PDF-function. If I'm not mistaken.

I am using '22. There's a path for "user files" under file location settings, but this does not seem to reflect in the PDF engine (just the default folder for opening files), and the "File" settings in "Export Setup" don't seem to get saved with the setup profile. Those file/location settings stick around until close an reopen the software though, at least.
I do also like the idea that someone mentioned where it should be a project-based setting instead of a global one, so that you can set each file / project to export to their own PDF folder.

This would greatly speed up the PDF exportation process!

+1 for sticky pdf save-as location, and please add a pdf print preview button for single pages.

In the meantime, you can setup Places for the locations you need to save PDFs, to more quickly set the folder location (in the Browse dialog).

I already do this, but the tip may help someone else.  :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

I'd prefer:

1. saved per model

2. anything more than the seemingly random locked in default.

This has not been resolved yet??

Hi,

Does somebody know, it's fixed in 2024?

Thanks

@andreas_buender - Nope, not fixed in 2024.  Maybe by 2030.

I'm just going to put a shortcut to each one of the current job folders in my document folder. Can't beat em, circumvent em.
