Value display in the Properties Palette when multiple objects are selected

Suggested by ATP Planungs- und Beteiligungs AG

When multiple objects are selected, if these objects have a common parameter that has different values for the selected objects, in the Properties Palette, the parameter shows a blank value. This causes confusion because it's not clear whether the parameter has varied values or it has no value. This can cause loss of data if the user believes that no value has been assigned and types in a value in the blank.

Visually differentiate clearly between the following two situations:
(1) The parameter has varied values on multi selection -> value could be varies/multiple
(2) The parameter has no value on multi selection -> value could be blank

See attached screenshot, it marks the "empty" values, that use different windows values in this example.

Best regards,

Barbara

This should work as well for schedules and quantities.

Completely agree.

I would it like to be implemented similar to as hereunder:

-Values varies. Put the most common value in light grey, If all values vary, take the first. Text to be selected when activating the field.

-Values are all the same. Value is in black

-No values, then field stays empty

We are pleased to say that this has been implemented in Revit 2022! Thank you for your contribution to Revit Ideas.
