line menu more accessible

I believe it is too difficult to access line types. Manage->Additional Settings->Line Styles->Explode Dropdown is four clicks and the last one has a tiny hitbox. I also think you should be able to sort line types by category, weight, color, pattern or custom drag and drop.

@braddarnell, I agree completely, which is why I use keyboard shortcuts as much as possible. If you don't use them or have set up your own, go to File/Options/User Interface/Keyboard Shortcuts (Customize button). Then search for Line Styles, select "Additional Settings:Line Styles" and in the Press new keys: box add LS and then assign. Now whenever you need access to your line styles, you just type LS. Now to get Autodesk to just get rid of that pesky dropdown.

I tell all the people in my office, if you are using buttons, you are using Revit wrong. Set up keyboard shortcuts for all your buttons. You can't fault Autodesk for having a multitude of tabs and buttons to access tall the different commands that are needed for working this complex program. Autodesk has given us a way to shortcut the menu process, you just have to set (some of) it up and learn to use it. It will make you way faster and make you look like an expert. The only problem is when someone asks you how to do something and the way you do it is through keyboard shortcuts (which they haven't set up) and you don't recall where the button is. :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:

I agree this needs work.  Why is it when we go to the Lines Styles dialog box, we always have to drop down the list?  WHY ELSE DID WE COME THERE?

Also, could the columns default to wider?  Like to the max width of the Category and Line Pattern? Or remember from the last time I opened the dialog box?
