More of the installer files on the configured destination drive

Hi,

I came across an issue while trying to install Revit on a different drive other than my boot drive (C drive) where I only had 6GB free.

It was what appears to be a common "Out of disk space" message, searches on autodesk's forums and other sites revealed that this is a common issue and that this has been happening for many years and for many products.

All responses focus on the message that there are some files that are still needed on the C Drive, like temp files, shortcuts, temp installer files, temp internet files that need to be downloaded, user profile files, etc.

To make a long story shorter, after many attempts I cleared enough space, but I believe that there is some improvement on the and where the files are installed.

I believe that after the installation around 10GB of storage was used on the C drive.
I installed the minimum needed, and configured all (3 path configurations) to their equivalent on my D drive.
I used the web install and downloaded the files to my D drive.

I could not monitor all paths that the installer wrote files to because procmon crashed, but from what I could capture, the following folders and their sizes are what I would consider highly unusual after selecting the D drive for installation.

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Autodesk Shared 500MB
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk 1.6GB
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Autodesk Shared 1.8GB
C:\Program Files\Autodesk\ 600MB

I also believe that there could be some type of issue, where the space is not calculated accurately, even if there is enough space on the C drive for the files that need to go the installer may want a lot more than that.

Anyway I wanted to contribute with a bit of my time to investigate and give a bit of details for this improvement.
