Improvements to Cursor Focus

I often find myself having to redundantly click on things in order to edit them. Two examples are coming to mind.

When editing type properties, autofill suggestions pop up. I can keep typing text, but as soon as the suggestion box pops up, the cursor becomes invisible until I click in the field I'm editing a second time. On top of that I can't use the Home or End keys until I've clicked inside the box again.

I also have difficulties when editing conduit or cable tray elevations. If I click on a conduit the green modify | conduits row appears at the top. The Middle Elevation is already highlighted, but typing numbers doesn't work. So I have to click in the box once to un-highlight, then click again to re-highlight so I can replace the text. In addition to that, typing delete to clear the field and type a new elevation just deletes the elevation from the Middle Elevation drop-down, immediately swapping in a different elevation. If this isn't the elevation you wanted, you may suddenly get errors like "no routing could be found" or "The conduit has been modified to be in the opposite direction or insufficient space to create the required fittings. "

These time consuming nuisances seem like they could be easily remedied by some basic UI improvements.
