Skirting boards modeling limitations
Hi everybody,
I've recently opened a thread regarding different methods to model skirting boards (click here). Every single method has its own limitations. Please have a look at the thread before reading further.
What I am after is a way to model the skirting board in order for it to automatically trim when it reaches the door architrave. At the moment all the methods some users (much more expert than me) and I have tested don't do that. We were only able to either:
- change the setback within the family type, which doesn't work in the case the skirting has to be applied along walls that host doors with different architraves (I know, weird. But it can happen) and so you have to create a new skirting type (annoying and not flexible)
or:
- edit it manually for each single door opening, which is a very tedious exercise that doesn't help efficiency.
Any idea?
