I think it is in reference to the displayed line style? Bottom to View Depth shows as Beyond, Cut Plane to Top just shows as normal instead of Above linetype.

 

This would be very useful for MEP services where Engineers want to show different line types based on the height of pipes, cable trays or ducts.

 

I would like a plane between Cut and Top tbh. Cut has to be in a space and it wants to go through door frames so anything over about 2200mm affl would show as Above but the ceiling might be at 8m (meaning you want everything above 8m rather than 2.2 to be Above which you cant currently do).
