Just as easy. Select all of the elements you want to isolate, go to the temporary hide/isolate tool, and isolate them. You can then "Apply hide/isolate to view" to make it permanent.

I agree it'd be nice to be able to "select all" in a link. That'd solve this problem. I'm also not saying this wouldn't be helpful. I see no reason why they couldn't add a "Hide in View -> Type" functionality.

 

I also hope that your firm as some sort of way to go about adding/modifying things like view templates within a project. I understand having a level of quality control to maintain some level of consistency, but it needs to be simple to request those who control that adapt to project needs.
