Welcome to the Revit Ideas Board! Before posting, please read the helpful tips here. Thank you for your Ideas!

Change "Default Elevation" to "Elevation (default)"

The built-in parameter "Elevation" is now taggable and that's great. But it needs to be opened up to be used in formulas within families.

Sometimes you need to control geometry or other things within the family based on the family's Elevation. A panelboard is a good example. If you build clearance into a panelboard, the working clearance and bottom dedicated space must extend to the floor regardless of the Elevation of the panel. The only way to do this now is to fully control elevation within the family and always set the built-in Elevation to 0'.

In short, the built-in "Default Elevation" should be changed to "Elevation (default)" just like any other built-in instance parameter.
