Stair modeling - smart sketch

Updates to the stair tool is among the highest voted ideas, yet it is completely neglected by developers. Please stop neglecting architects in the development of Revit! Stair modeling is cumbersome, especially for custom stair designs, which require sketching the stairs by hand without any automation. Therefore, the stair by sketch tool requires a major update. I would like to see the riser creation being automated through a parametric array along a path, which could either be the boundary lines or the stair path. Furthermore, spline based stairs should be available, which in turn may require new algorithms to further control stair creation as illustrated in the attached pdf.

When I compare Revit's stair tool to Archicad or other competitors, the shortcomings of Revit's stairs become obvious. Please allow this kind of editing of stairs as well (Archicad 21): https://youtu.be/MrYI1Mwjxd4?t=1310

Funny to bring up ArchiCAD...AC's stair tool used to be so pathetic we used floor slabs for stair treads.

And look what effort in development brings in terms of features and functionality. Software isn't static, I can only hope for Revit to see as much improvement to the field of Architecture as ArchiCAD has gotten in the past few years. What have Revit has received in terms of updates, although helpful for some things (and some for the worse) make it look like development stopped in 2013, whereas from the looks of it, that's where ArchiCAD started to catch-up -and even overtake Revit in certain functionality.

Archicad has also been around since 1987.   Autocad was released in 82.   Revit was released in 2000 by the Revit Technology Corp....when Autodesk bought it in 2002 you figure ArchiCAD had been around for 15 years and most of us ArchiCAD users were only familiar with Autodesk Architectural Desktop as the competition. (Now Autocad Architecture...Graphisoft sales people were right that Arch Desktop was going away, it changed names).

So yeah, Archicad/Graphisoft got off it's butt with Revit being taken over by Autodesk and started to make dramatic improvements.    I was stoked when Plotmaker went away.  Then Teamwork was introduced along with Teamwork Server...had to compete with this new Revit program right?  Also before Revit came along Archicad would have point releases each year with full releases maybe every 2-3 years.  When Revit released a new full release each year guess who else started to do the same?

I'm glad Archicad has gotten some huge improvements over the years...but there are still features in Revit that I would prefer over Archicad and vise versa.  But also I don't hang out at the Architalk forum pointing out Archicad deficiencies that Revit has.  Give it time with Revit updates, we recently got the ability to create stairs with components vs sketch only.

@Anonymous Per Google Translate (for convenience):

I can only agree. The staircase module has been neglected for years. As before, user-specific stairs can only be constructed with great effort or manually. Every year I hope for the new, that there is a quantum leap here. Unfortunately, in vain. We have already thought about changing the program again - for that reason alone.
The editing of the windows we also consider to be in need of improvement. Here would window shape and equipment such. Sprouts can be easily adjusted. [such as rungs should be easily adapted.?] ACAD construction was able to do this years ago. - Incidentally, the staircase module was there over 10 years ago better than that of Revit today.
I hope that the programmers finally dedicate themselves to these topics!
