instant parameters for spaces and schedule

hi,

to do analysis on the project - you have to use spaces.

however, sometimes there are special standards/ calculations that must be made.

and the automated revit parameters dont give an answer.

allowing shared parameters as instants will allow to make "information plan" (for HVAC for example) easily

in addition: in "specified" parameters (like "specified air flow") it will be better if it was possible to use other parameters - like when writing a formula.

For HVAC calculations we are drawing ceilings with Shared Parameters.

1. i am an HVAC engineer.

the ceiling is drawn by architects

2. instead of defining everything - i would like to use the "space type" option since its already there... just needed to be more "free"

Completely on board with you Guy.

The ceilings are a dirty workaround so that we can subdivide the boundary areas of large spaces for BCO compliance for air volumes. I wasn't suggesting you are wrong.

Ceilings automatically generate an Area which helps with the scheduling, plus they can be tagged etc.

Not the right answer at all but its all we could come up with unfortunately.

I put up an identical post to yours not long ago, for the same reasons.
