More Country-Specific Out-Of-The-Box (OOTB) Content
Just coming to a very sad realisation: Revit lacks substantial country-specific content (families, templates, etc), especially for EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Russia, etc).
Very short and annoying example: rebar types (from 1 to 99). Never heard anybody in Europe using such numbering. It's confusing, the rebar preview when loading into project it is so so small i just can't identify it. I end up loading ALL rebar types, just in case i might need some of it. A descriptive name (or clear description upon loading into project) would help me a lot, like : open stirrup, closed stirrup, seismic stirrup, straight rebar, simple-bent rebar, double-bent rebar, circular stirrup, diamond/romboid stirrup, elicoidal stirrup, etc.
Schedule templates (country-specific) are very important also!
Why do i have to buy additional add-ins just for basic templates or basic commands, like easier rebar commands, easier schedules, easier views, easier layouts? This kind of little (yet very important!) tweaks are coming by default in other software like Allplan or Tekla.
OOTB content is the real value of any software. Users need simple, efficient tools in order to produce valuable results quickly.
P.S. It just blows my mind how many (specific) templates and tweaks Allplan has. The base-frame of Allplan is much weaker than Revit, yet many users are using it just for its' powerful templates and template schedules.
