Export option for Linked Coordination Model

Hello everybody,

I'd like to share an idea that came to my mind in order to improve coordination drawings from BIM platforms as Revit is.

In the scenario where you have a Coordination Model (Navisworks) linked into your Revit file and you export views as AutoCAD format (e.g. dwg), currently it is not possible to have the Coordination Model elements included in the exported file.

I know other ways to achieve this managing the original Navisworks file, but you require to have certain type of softwares that perhaps you don't have; or maybe you don't have access to the source file.

I understand the original main purpose of linking Coordination Model into Revit files, but for certain situations this idea will be very useful, as much as other file formats export options are.

Thank you.

Regards

MIGUEL

Agreed, the coordination model needs to become more useful (see my Revit Idea about being able to dimension to it), and this includes showing up in exports (starting with DWG exports).
