Another issue related to this,

 

When connecting a beam / purlin, bottom chord strut etc to the truss. the beams snap to the analytical line of the truss not to the top or bottom of the truss chord members. you can overcome this by selecting the element of truss (top or bottom chord), un pinning, and setting justification to the top/bottom. problem with this is, that the geometry of the truss changes. The web members of the truss are set by the intersections of their center of gravity/ center not the top and bottom. Hence changing the top and bottom chord offsets of top and bottom chord members moves the locations of the connected web members creating conflict resolution and fabrication / detailing problems.
