One option for easy Sprinker head adding

You can add the sprinklers with using cap ends method. 1. Edit the sprinkler family you want and remove the constraints of level and rotate 90 anticlockwise in view. 2. Edit the family types and change to pipe fittings and change the part type to cap. 3. Load in to project 4. In the project , edit the routing preference and change the cap to sprinkler head ( You can see the list of sprinklers in that drop down list) 5. The select a vertical pipe and apply cap end tool. You will get the sprinkler on the end of pipe. 6. Like this, you can select all vertical branches same time and apply cap ends. Easily finish the Job! 7. Select the sprinkler head and provide the elevation you want. 8. Now the sprinkler head in the pipe fitting category. So if you need to change it in to the sprinkler category, you can edit the family and change the family type and part type. After that load in to project. 9. You will get the sprinkler heads in correct category. • Issue;- While changing the family category and load in to project after placing all sprinklers cause some disconnections but it not reflected in the model physically. The link of objects is there but when you change the elevation of a sprinkler, the pipe not extended automatically. So if the category of sprinkler is not relevant in your model/ project, please ignore the step 8 mentioned above.
