I agree to you Lpn.Jason.
For example right now I'm working on a building that is divided in 5 parts and 3 floors.
I therefore have a minimum of 6 drawings for each floor (overview + details on the 5 parts).
Revit will therefore create 18 individual DWGs.
I need a maximum of 3 DWGs because there are 3 levels, if not even better: only one DWG with all the floors in the same file.
Now, for each update i have to manually modify the DWGs. Including revision status, the date and so on ![]()
There should be an export option which would allow us to combine multiple sheets in one DWG.
When exported each sheet should have its layers combined under a category that contain the sheets name. This is for ease in turning on or off the visibility of the whole sheet by others that work solely in CAD. Plus each DWG should have all the Layouts already set as per the sheets view in Revit.
Example
Floor 1 - Overview
--- layer 1
--- layer ...
--- layer xx
Floor 1 - Part 1
--- layer 1
--- layer ...
--- layer xx
Floor 1 - Part 2
--- layer 1
--- layer ...
--- layer xx
Floor 2 - Overview
--- layer 1
--- layer ...
--- layer xx
Floor 2 - Part 1
--- layer 1
--- layer ...
--- layer xx
Floor 2 - Part 2
--- layer 1
--- layer ...
--- layer xx
