tracing a raster image plan

A quick command to temporary hide the model in order to quickly check the underneath raster image. If I use wireframe it creates a confusion. It is difficult to distinguish between the image and what I'm drawing also between what I have and haven't traced. That's why I think keeping the model solid and having a quick command to hide or even better to make the model transparent in order to view what I'm tracing would be better then working in wireframe mode.

In a view's properties there's a parameter "Display Model", setting this to "Do not display" will hide all geometry.

Alternativly you could create a view template which hides the geometry, and use this as a Temporary Template.

Huh, I never paid any attention to that particular property but now that I have it will be very handy indeed. I just wish I could assign a keyboard shortcut to it. That would be ace.
