Adjustable area computation settings based on variable height
I am aware that each country may have different rules about space calculation, nevertheless current Revit settings seem to be not flexible and useful for some users.
I would advice letting user divide the height domain and decide what to do with each part.
----
Case 1:
In country "A" space higher than 1,90m is considered to be "usable", lower - "help space".
Now I can set "Computation height" to 1,90m, but I'm unable to obtain the lower area which is also necessary in schedule.
Also, I'm forced to use lower volume value. I have no possibilty to change it. But I need general inner volume to energy analysis. Trouble.
Case 2:
Country "B": in a room we divide area on level 2,2m and 1,4m. The "usable" area is: 100% of area higher than 2,4m, 50% of area with height between 1,4-2,2m, 0% of area lower than 1,4m. Also, I still would like to have initial, total area value.
To implement rules above, I need to make 3 room instances in each physical room divided with separation lines (manually), make their number and name equal, create calc params. It is a long and painful process and the effect is very unstable. Also, I cannot retrieve calculated "useful" value and use it in room tag.
