Correct colors!!!

Architects and interior designers need more than just functional program. They need to work with a color but this is unrealizable with Revit, so user has to use 3ds Max even to see the color that is assigned to the object.

Possible solution of this issue could be creation of a new view “Diffuse” with special properties:

  1. Switch off all highlights effects;
  2. Switch off Bamp;
  3. Switch off shadows of the edges;
  4. Switch off textures;
  5. User can control the main shadows of the object

Thereby we will get an additional view with materials colors from section “visualization”.

Misprint: Textures should be.

 Completely agree! I have made a duplicate idea by accident about this: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/consistent-colors-mode-with-textures/idi-p/7931742

I will ask the moderators to merge my idea into yours!

I have also created a document that explains the problem in more detail:  https://www.dropbox.com/s/y5o9p0r9b8z8yt8/Revit%20Test%20Scene.pdf?dl=0

Also, I assume that you meant that textures should be ON in this "diffuse" mode, right? Otherwise it would be the same as "consistent colors"?

That's right, it was a typo.

This is my #1 request. We need this for design.
