Numbering elements in a visually intuitive manner and Schedules

Numbering elements in a visually intuitive manner (e.g. workstations and doors)
Issue: To be able to number items (apply Mark values) in a particular order around the plan that is visually intuitive. It currently takes a very long time to number each workstation individually (our larger projects can have in the realm of 5000 workstations) and if we have missed one accidentally or need to add a new one in, the numbering may have to be redone.
Possible solution: Apply an path that the numbering follows which is live-editable – meaning that you can add another instance somewhere, move the path to suit and the numbering will have the option to change to be consecutive (e.g in practice we would begin numbering at a lift lobby and snake around the plan clockwise ensuring groups of tags will update to have consecutive numbers)
Each tag type (furniture systems, doors etc) should have their own path.
Application to: Doors, workstations, rooms

Currently, we have tried the Element Positioning extension but find the following issues:
1. Numbering is not intuitively allocated to the flow of the fit out and does not make sense for the builder
2. Takes 10 mins to load and if you get something wrong the entire operation needs to start again – maybe a preview could be shown instead?
3. Cannot select only one item type before the operation begins – e.g. furniture systems (may partially alleviate long startup time)
4. All level heads are picked up, instead of only floor levels (we use level heads for ceiling and slab levels and sometimes other datums*) which results in the Level number being incorrect. It should be as per the label or a specific parameter.
*If we are incorrectly using this, we do still need a way of labeling those sorts of datums which behaves in the same way as levels (e.g. so we can attach casework ceiling elements to the level and so walls can “attach top” to them)
5. In addition to the Level issue, we often do not start at level 0. Our scope is often only certain floors in a building which are not contiguous, so need to be able to use this operation on one nominated level at a time, or selected levels.

Schedules
There are a number of still very manual and time-consuming ‘data-entry’ type activities we have to do with the current setup of schedules. We would like to be able to work more efficiently:-
1. Schedule to cascade automatically over multiple sheets without having to set a sheet number parameter manually – our schedules are often printed at A4 so this can mean upwards of 30 A4 pages per schedule. If we need to adjust layout this is incredibly time-consuming.
2. Adjust column widths should apply to all pages/views of that schedule.
3. Images – need to be able to be printed at good resolution – our experience is that the resolution is very sub-par even with high res images loaded.
4. Change parameters of multiple items at the same time
a. Select items within groups when using Filters - to change the parameter in multiple instances
b. Select multiple tick boxes simultaneously in dialogue boxes and in schedules
