Welcome to the Revit Ideas Board! Before posting, please read the helpful tips here. Thank you for your Ideas!

I've tiled my views the way I want them. Let me save their positions.

This is related to a separate idea which:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/tile-the-views-let-me-control-which-goes-where/idi-p/64236...

Once I've got my views the way I want them, allow me to save their positions so they'll be back like that when I reopen the file.

I realize that this might work well in an environment where multiple users are working on the same file.  But we don't do that here.  I'm the ONLY one working on this design model.  So maybe there needs to be a setting somewhere to control whether the view layout is retained between sessions.  It gets annoying having to layout my views everytime I open the file.

I keep a 3d view open along with a section and floor plan so that I can see how my changes effect the whole model AND make sure I'm selecting the right components within my model.

Hello,

There is an app, https://apps.autodesk.com/RVT/pt/Detail/Index?id=5858157174730080822&appLang=en&os=Win32_64, that does what you want.

Of course native from Revit would be better!

I don't think it should just be "last view" kind of behavior - it should be named view states (which would also solve any multiple user issues). We should be able to keep our start view set to our standard project information/notes view (so that it's always seen when a user opens the file), then the user can open their custom view configuration after that.
