Setting for Grid/Level Offset from Scope Box

Currently the offset of grid heads from their associated scope box is 25.4mm, which is never a useful dimension so 2D overrides are required in every view. This causes a distracting jumpiness when flicking through a pdf set of drawings. Simply exposing the default setting, either as a scope box parameter or as an ini file setting, would solve this.

I love being directed here to vote for this idea when a Google search shows this request being made since 2007.

Dear Michael,

Amazing, reading your post being published 10-16-2017.

This issue of not being able to specify a set distance from the scope box to grid lines still anoys a lot of people who on daily basis are responsible of 'mock-up' of of sheets.

I hereby again would like to promote your idea of ading a simple scope box parameter which is able to easily control the distance of grid heads,

Marc

Once again, I bump this request. A customer just stumbled upon this issue. This should be easy to implement.

Any news on this being resolved by Autodesk? Why is this taking so long?

FYI create two scope boxes one for East West Grids another for North South works pretty nicely. Also if you have angled grids scope boxes for those as well. The you can move the grids anywhere along their plane without getting error

Wow, this is still an issue. How can this not yet have been resolved? Please fix by adding a feature for controlling offset distance from view region/ annotation region.

Yup, chiming in 16 years after the original post, this needs to be a parameter in the scope box.

Please implement this.

I'll join the choir, make a parameter setting for the grid offset. Heck, bury it deep in the mange settings, just make it so we can change the default.

I am here again.... I really need this function, that massive gap from the Scope Box just wastes so much paper space when you are trying to squeeze as much info onto one sheet as possible..

Local municipalities here in South Africa hate too many sheets when applying for approval....

So I guess this hasn't been resolved... Revit 2023 here and still can't change the offset of the grid from the scope box ... :cara_de_decepción:
