Schedules - Batch Export / Context Menu Export

The Problem:

You have a big project with schedules that you export on a regular basis because Revit won't let you make the kind of changes you need to your schedule. To export a schedule you have to click on the Revit button, go down to "Export", click the little arrow until you get to "Reports", and then select "Schedule". This is bad and annoying.

The Solution

Native support for the following:

  • batch exporting of schedules
  • the ability to use a shortcut to export the schedule you have open (although you can technically map a shortcut to the export schedule function, I've never been able to get it to work)
  • context menu item for exporting. It's simple - if you right-click a schedule in the project browser, there should be an export option.

That's all. This is an easy one, Autodesk.

We should be able to export entire categories / folders in Project Browser by right-clicking on them and choose an Export option / command.

Fixing the menu itself would also be a welcome improvement:

Auto-expand the File > Export submenu

This is a great idea. I'd also like to see schedules exported to a handy format right out of the gate > CSV or XLSX.

Here's another idea for the file type: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/revit-ideas/revit-lt-export-schedule-directly-to-excel-file-format-xl...

There is an in the Autodesk App Store an app called Reports that can batch export Revit schedules to PDF. It handles long schedules as multi-page documents. Very smart.
