view snapping to arrange views side by side

Many times I wish it was possible in Revit to arrange views in a similar fashion to the Aero Snap feature introduced in Windows 7 (the operating system), by dragging them to the edge of the screen.

It would make it faster to arrange two views side by side than the OOTB 'Windows Tile' (WT) command, when you have more than two views open.

I have too wished this as a base functionality... Luckily someone was so unimpressed that they built a solution. Hopefully this works out for you.

Hi,
Thanks for the suggestion. But I know this app and although it is an improvement to the native windows tile function, it is still not quite what I'd like, which is the same behaviour available in Windows OS to arrange windows side by side.

Howdy,

Eh sorry to waste your time. Please update here if you find something that does suit this NEED :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa: It would be amazing when working with schedules to be able to see all of the columns as you update them.

No waste of time at all!
What I'm doing at the moment to ease the pain, is to spread the main revit window across my two monitors and then (manually) adjust view windows so I can see 4 of them at a decent size.
Still, not what I really want and a bit off topic, but it is awesome to have so much revit workspace. :cara_con_una_leve_sonrisa:
