Anybody want to bet whether it will take Autodesk 10 years or 20 years to actually fix their simply awful stairs and railings tools in Revit? I've never talked to a single Revit user that thought Revit stairs/railings were any good. If Autodesk cared more about actually providing their users with the tools we need to complete our projects well, rather than just milking us for a constant flow of money with little to no useful improvements to show for our yearly extortion, then these requests wouldn't go unanswered for years... and years... and years.
Honestly, every April is so much more disappointing now that they forced me to be on a subscription where I have no choice but to pay for a disappointing new version that I would've gladly skipped in the old days. Used to, I could at least vote with my wallet and not pay for a worthless "update," and if enough people did that, they'd realize their updates needed to actually fix broken stuff or add useful features if they wanted to get paid for them. Now, Autodesk seems to have taken all their lessons from bureaucratic government instead of responsive entrepreneurs, and modeled their product licensing after government taxes where you have to pay your taxes regardless of whether any value is provided for them. Wake up, Autodesk, while you still have loyal users!
