Im trying to generate a ring of tilted tapped holes for my DMU50V. Im using the Millplus 330 post processor. I first imported a model from gibbscam with the 6 holes placed for the operation. I created a tilted UCS for the operation. This causes the 6 holes to appear tilted correctly in the simulate window. I also created a WCS for the post output that is aligned with the UCS used for the operations.
Once loaded into the machine, the WCS information is not in the post output and the part is drilled as if the part was not tilted, Ie: holes are shifted in X and Y. Also, the first hole in the set of 6 is drilled with the part a B0 C0 for some reason. Here is my part program, the post output, and the post processor I used. Can anyone please have a look at this and tell me why the WCS info not being output correctly?
You need to use Tool Orientation for your toolpaths but not for the Setup, which should be oriented as it would be in the machine initially.
You also didn't have your Model selected (not always necessary, but definitely good practice).
The next question becomes why didn't you just make a model in Inventor with modeled features instead of points? I have never found using points to be all the reliable in CAM systems that rely heavily on solid models.
I attached your file with a corrected Setup (copy of the original) but it has been saved as an Inventor 2017 file format.

Ok, I went and double checked. I went to the setup folder in the toolbar and set model orientation. I didnt select the "Setup" icon in the browser window. Apparently it doesnt actually change the postprocessor orientation unless you do that. I now get the same output as you did.
Kinda works. Unfortunately, the calculated offset distance in X is not correct. To get the part looking like the simulation, X needs to be X1 as opposed to X1.5557. as in
N31 G0 X1.5557 Y0.1648 and the G79 lines.
I just edited it by hand to get the part done. Pretty far off! Does HSM just not work with points? Got used to using them in Gibbs over the last 17 years.
I tried using the Setup WCS for location as well. Also setting coordinate system to match the part's WCS. Still getting offset output but slightly different numbers in X Y and C B. . I do have my offsets set to 99 offsets G54 I1-G54 I99. I was just adding an I1 to the G54 line. Wonder if that could be causing problems? Easy parameter change @ MC84.
