Below are some Q&A for Inventor HSM. Hope it will be helpful for you!
Thanks

=============================================================================================================
Q1: How can I edit the selected contour?
A: Please click on the selected contour (in dark blue) again, then you can get the MTB to edit it
Q2: How to edit the chain to get the desired contour?
A: Please refer to the content in the link https://camforum.autodesk.com/index.php?topic=5938.msg23011#msg23011
In addition, pressing Alt + click will select single chain; pressing Ctrl + click on the selected contour will remove it.
Q3: Why some pockets won't be machined in the model with 3D operations sometimes?
A: This could be due to the hidden body or part in the Setup. Please select the part which you want to machine in Model group when define the Setup.
Q4: How to machine a large chamfer in Milling?
A: For now, the multiple depth is not supported with Chamfer tool, but you can create the 45 degree taper tool and enable multiple depth in 2D Contour or Trace to machine the large chamfer.
Q5: Whether 2D contour can work for roughing machining?
A: Yes, please enable Roughing Passes in Passes tab and when necessary, please define the stock contour in Geometry tab.
Q6: Why the 3D operation toolpath still touch the hole (or pockets) although the hole is patched with surface?
A: Generally this is because the patched surface is not defined as the Model in Setup. Please select them with the part together in Model group in Setup.
Q7: Why the turning toolpath always gouges into the part in Mill-Turing?
A: Please check whether Spun profile is checked in Model group in Turning/Mill-Turning Setup
Q8: Why the toolpath of 2D operations becomes wrong after the regeneration in latest Inventor HSM?
A: This could be an migration issue due to the improvement of chain-selection behavior, please check whether the selected contour is still right or wrong in Geometry tab in the operation.
Q9: Whether Setup Sheet can be saved in Spreadsheet format?
A: Yes. You can select the layout/style template are named "setup-sheet-excel.cps" and "setup-sheet-excel-template.xls" in Post Process the generate it. See more info from http://www.hsmworks.com/docs/hsmworks/2013/en/#SetupSheetAsSpreadsheet
Q10: Why the T-Slot Cutter cutting too high even the slot tool gouges into the upper surface of the undercut?
A: Generally please follow the steps below to solve the issue –
1). Set the upper surface of the undercut as the “Top” height in Height tab
2). Enable Multiple Depth and set Maximum roughing stepdown equals to the slot tool flute length in Passes tab
3). Don’t enable “Use even stepdowns”
