HSMworks Constantly Saving.....

We have a file that we put the whole family of parts and workholding in.  This leads to a lot of HSMworks jobs in the same assembly file.  It is almost unusable as it just continually saves.  Is there a way to stop the constant automatic saving?  It is not Solidworks saving but just HSMworks.  Or a setting somewhere to limit the time between autosaves?

Hi -

I don't believe that HSMWorks will trigger any auto-saves. What makes you say that it's HSMWorks doing this? Are you able to post a video showing this?

Thanks for the video. I have a feeling that it's Solidworks saving, but then HSMWorks gets a notification that the save is happening, and that's when that message is shown, which I think is being shown by Solidworks.

Any chance you can share your model with me, so I can see if it will reproduce here?

Also, have you checked your Solidworks auto-save settings to see if changes there might make a difference?

It is a large assembly with about (40) parts of a family of parts, plus tombstones, vises, soft jaws, and fixtures.  This is by far the largest number of HSMworks jobs I have in any one file.  It only repeatedly saves in the this file(assembly.)  Doesn't do it in any other file which is why I was thinking it was an HSMworks thing.   If I even just sit there and don't do anything in solidworks, it comes up HSMworks saving.  When Solidworks saves, it says Solidworks saving.

Unfortunately I can't share all the files.

So is this assembly being used over the network that others are possibly changing the components and then your assembly needs to update????

you can turn off automatic update in HSMWorks.

No it is a local file only on my computer.  Even when I turn off generate on change it still does it.  I had already tried that.
