Can not probe to stock

So technically I have 2 models (2 .ipt's) Having a part with multiple operations, and making it clear for the machinist to see in simulation, I often make a "partial" model of the final model, and use it as STOCK for that OP.

In the setup I assign the "partial" model as "stock solid" then create an assembly and over lay the two models.

The stock "partial" model, I usually color clear yellow for a visual.

In CAM when I'm starting out probing, the probe mode drop-down has "Model" or "Stock"... Since I assigned it to a defined "stock" wouldn't you think that the Stock would be recognized as that "partial" model?? NOPE.

Does "Stock" only work for Inventor generated generic boxes or cylinders?

Seems like a glitch to me.

If I change it to Model, it picks it up.
