5x - FLOW NURBS

The simultaneously 5x flow in the first picture created terrible milling machine movements with lot of turning the table, almost stopping x, y, z axis movement and long working time with bad surface.

I was not able to improve situation even with support. Smiley EmbarassedSmiley EmbarassedSmiley EmbarassedSmiley Embarassed

Today support showed me a hidden switch for NURBS and now it works like a charm.Smiley Happy

See the picture below. Believe it or not, nothing else where changed!

What will happen if I stick with NURBS. Is there any risk. Why it is not switched on as default?

NO NURBS

switch to NURBS

What a difference with NURBS and machine works great now!

I use this on a daily basis. But do remember that its a beta function so don't trust it without simulating and looking at the machines.

same; though i'd say it's a fairly "safe" beta function. It's been my "normal" for probably a year+ now, and I only think about it when i'm trouble shooting why someone else's flow operations look like crap (until I switch Nurbs on for them, too.)

There's probably some reason why it's still in beta, but I haven't found it yet.

Thanks to all. I will switch NURBS on as a default.

HSMWorks has a lot more to offer that is hidden deep somewhere. Manual do not help much.

It is a pitty because a new customer will not know about it and can not use the software at its best.

I only hope development will read this and work on it.

I frequently send my problems to support, but no helpful reaction as usual.

Lately I've got this: "Michael I have asked a developer for his opinion on this." THX, just great! Smiley Frustrated
