2D Adaptive and 2D Pocket Problem in Inventor HSM and Fusion 360.

Hi Everyone.
I have been using Inventor HSM and also started to try and use Fusion 360 for create some toolpaths for my CNC router. I have made a fair few successful cuts with HSM so far but have just with some minor teething problems like "Maximum tool stay down distance" but have managed to find the answers on here. Unfortunately I have come across a problem that I can't seem to nut out.
I have attached some pictures of the Model that I am trying to cut out. It is a Catan board that puzzles together if anyone is wondering. I have managed to cut one of the pieces out without issue not shown in the pictures but for some reason this piece is giving some trouble with the tool path around the top and bottom of the model. See the photos, I have created both an adaptive and pocket 2D tool path and both are giving the same issue in both Inventor and Fusion. Its like the path does not want to follow the true contour of the model. I have tried selecting different parts of the model and adding stock contours.
For reference, the four models in the image are for the same part just represents the different stages of the process that I am working through to get the wood from a semi dressed piece to a nice square finished part.
Any suggestions on how to fix it would we legendary. As I said both Inventor and Fusion are exhibiting the same behaviour. All the paths have been generated on my PC in inventor but when I started to have problems then uploaded the file to Fusion to see if that made a difference as well. I am also using the same method for clearing the required area as the successful cut.
