I was on my Macbook Pro , and I downloaded both wincnc and shopsabre cps files and threw them in my personal post library. No matter what I did, I could not get the machines to even see the file. When I tried to rename as .txt or .tap it sees the file, but gives a generic error of cannot read file. I went to Cut 3D (which I know works on both machines and posted as wincnc - inch) it spat out a .txt file and both machines read the file fine. I uploaded both files for comparison. Both machines are suppose to read .tap files (which is what fusion spits out in post for cammaster and shopsabre) but for some reason it doesn't see it or let me pick it until I change to .txt, but then it gives me an error. I also noticed on my mac, the fusion post thinks it's an exec file (green txt on computer screen icon), while the cut 3d post looks like a txt file icon.
1) what am I doing wrong? even if I try to rename the fusion post file to .txt it doesn't read on those 2 machines, but it reads fine on my NC editor.
2) why is it on my Mac I have less options than on my windows pc? in windows I have a open config button but not on my macbook. (I was at school and didn't have access to my PC) is there somewhere I can open config on my mac book for the cps file?
3) I noticed I could change the extension of the post in the open config button on my pc, is this just as simple as changing the extension to .txt? (I won't be able to test until next tues)
