Siemens 840D VTL Post Processor

I was wondering if any one could tell me where to start on a post processor for a VTL machine. We use Mastercam now but want to get away from it. I use HSMworks and Fusion360 but I do 3 axis machines and lathe programming so I am just now learning the VTL. Dose anyone else program for VTL or have any ideas where to start.

Thanks,
Matt

The place to start depends on the controller of the VTL. If it is a Fanuc you should start with the generic fanuc turning post.

You are correct, it is a 840D but on a VTL. Is that same as a lathe post turned on upwards?
