Post processor DMG CMX 600v Siemens 840d

Hi!

Does anyone know if the Siemens Sinumerik 840d post processor will work for my DMG Mori CMX 600v?

Or what modifications would be needed?

Thanks for raising your concern via forum.

The machines seems 3 axis https://in.dmgmori.com/products/machines/milling/vertical-milling/cmx-v . In this case, it's Siemens Sinumerik 840d post processor that will be a great start. https://cam.autodesk.com/hsmposts?p=siemens-840d

You will likely need to edit the post processor to suit your particular needs. Here is the link which tell you how to make the post modifications.

Hi @lukas.o8HBX4 ,

it works great but you have to work with the correct machine data where the safty positions are.

Otherwise you can create a fix retract position in Z for your Post.

Normaly it goes to „G0 SUPA Z0 D0“ but your machine can just go to „G0 SUPA Z-0.1  D0“ or less in my post i changed it to „Z-1“.
