Help To modify Setup Sheet post processor .cps file to support multiple setups

Hey Guys,

One of our customer who bought Fusion 360 from us uses it mostly for turning with Multiple setups for a single part . And he likes our Setup sheet format a lot and he asked if our current setup sheet post processor can support multiple setups ... And seems like by default it is not possible ....

So exactly which part of the Setup sheet html post processor should I change such that it supports multiple setups .

Kindly help me

Regards

Hello,

Thanks for posting. I understand this would be useful, but I'm not 100% sure on the formatting you would need.

What setup would the job information show (stock size, origin etc)? Or would it display multiple ones? So would it be like multiple setup sheets all combined into one?

Hi @GeorgeRoberts

Say if there are two setups (Setup 1 and Setup 2) .. The format that we would want is ...

  1. Origin (WCS) Of Each Setup .
  2. Overall Stock Size - which we can see it even now
  3. Total machining time (Setup 1 machining time + Setup 2 machining time)
  4.  Tools list (Should include both Setup 1 and Setup 2)
  5.  Operations (Should be listed out seperately - under one table Setup 1 operations and in an another table Setup 2 operations) ..

Like this is how my customer is asking ...

Thanks for the reply! I have just tested the HTML setup sheet with multiple setups.

Currently, the used WCS positions are listed at the top of the setup, is this as desired?

The total machining time should already include both setups as it is the total time for all posted operations.

A combined tool list is already created.

The operations are currently all listed together. The WCS is displayed for each origin though. You could make a new operation table for each WCS, would this be acceptable?

Hi @GeorgeRoberts

  • Currently, the used WCS positions are listed at the top of the setup, is this as desired?

Currently when we try to take a Setup sheet for Multiple setups it would show only one WCS ... Am I right . And I would want to see two WCS along with their images representations on the right .

  • The total machining time should already include both setups as it is the total time for all posted operations.

If it is there then that's good .

  • A combined tool list is already created.

Superb

  • The operations are currently all listed together. The WCS is displayed for each origin though. You could make a new operation table for each WCS, would this be acceptable

Yes that would be acceptable - Operations to be listed out in seperate tables according to each WCS ..
