Haas Question

I'm using SW 2105 and HSMXpress.  Generic Haas post processor.  I updated to the latest HSMXpress version yesterday and noticed that the home position has changed at the end of the G code.  I was getting this before:

N1550 M5
N1555 M9
N1560 G53 G0 Z0.
N1565 G53 X0. Y0.
N1570 M30

Now I am getting:

N865 M5
N870 M9
N875 G53 G0 Z0.
N880 X-0.4458
N885 G53 Y0.
N890 M30

I didn't change anything in SW or HSM that I am aware of.  I'm just wondering what changed.  Thanks.

The post processors are updated on a routine basis.

It looks like the "home position center" option is turned on in your new post version.
This feature looks at your min and max x dimension in your program, then moves to the middle of the range at program end for load/unload.

It is a great feature if you are only working on 1 vise at a time.

Your previous post just sends the machine to home position (G53 X0 Y0) at program end.  This usually is a pain as it puts the table way over to one side.

Also, if you want to specify a home position, you can set that up in your machine configuration.
Then, be sure to turn off "home position center", and the table will finish up wherever you would like it to.

Good luck,
Steve

Exactly true, we made "homePositionCenter" the default into the haas post since users liked that very much.
