Haas MiniMill Post output Error

I have just got new Hass MiniMill machine, downloaded Post for Hass (tried NGC, Pre-NGC, and some other) and trying to post. 1st thing I have noticed Program Settings is all blank.

When I click Post, I am getting error message:

Error: Failed to evaluate post configuration.
Loading locale from 'C:\Program Files\HSMWorks\locales\english_us.xml'
Code page changed to '1252 (ANSI - Latin I)'
Start time: Thursday, December 12, 2024 8:33:08 PM
Code page changed to '20127 (US-ASCII)'
Warning: Unsupported format specifier 'minDigitsLeft'.

Error: ReferenceError: FORMAT_REAL is not defined
Error at line: 296

Stack dump:
@K:\Engineering\ACAD\SolidWorks\SSDI Library\HSMXpress\haas.cps:295
Failed while processing global script.

Is there a problem with post or I am doing something wrong? I have used other posts (for different machines) and they are fine...

Thanks

Here you are... But I do not believe the issue is in the file. I had another file that gave me the same error.

@Eli_Dexter

Got you!
I was more so looking for the CAM related information in the file.

Please store your toolpaths using the "Save as Template" function and attach a copy of that as well.

See Attached. I had to rename the file to .xml - otherwise I would not be abple to attach it. Please download and rename it to .hsmworks-template.

Thanks

I'm running into a similar problem, albeit with a different post.

I have a ShopSabre CNC, and have been able to post things without issue for a while now. But now, for some reason, I'm having very similar symptoms to what OP had: The Program Settings are blank; the NC extension has changed and is not longer what it used to be (used to be .tap, now is .nc); and when I try to post I get a log with a similar error:

Error: Failed to evaluate post configuration.
Code page changed to '1252 (ANSI - Latin I)'
Start time: Monday, January 27, 2025 6:41:12 PM
Code page changed to '20127 (US-ASCII)'

Error at line: 153

Stack dump:

Failed while processing global script.

Again, I've been using the same post for a while, have not changed the post file, but now I'm getting this error when trying to post.

Has anyone had any luck figuring this out?

Hi @Eli_Dexter @pcookS62QK

The reson may be because of the you are using the old version of HSM works or Inventor CAM. If possible pls try to update it to the latest version.

else you can try old revision of post from our library to use

Fortunately, there are many Haas posts out there and I have found one that works without errors.

Hi @boopathi.sivakumar,

I've tried using the updated post from the link you shared, with no change in results. Also, I cannot update to a newer version of Inventor CAM, as the 2023 version is what the rest of my company uses. The confusing part is I was able to do things just fine, but for some reason something changed and now I cannot. And I don't know what that change was.
