Error on post command in Visual Studios Code

Hello All,

Looking for some guidance utilizing the VSC post editor for Fusion, I receive this error "Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'document') when selecting this command.  (Path: Explorer/CNC Selector/Drilling/Rapid out.cnc) this happens on every command not just the path above.

I have downloaded the entire Autodesk CAM Post Processor Guide 02/02/24, read it  but seems like I'm still missing a step?  I'm currently utilizing the standard MACH 3 Mill post processor from the Autodesk Post Library and would like to had some information to this post, like a header with details and a time stamp.  I have modified two (2) other post processors utilizing notepad with ease but struggling with VSC, and started out utilizing notepad when I started out originally with Fusion, which has been only a short time ago.     I believe I have the needed extensions but not 100% positive.    I have included a few sample files, please let me know what else I need to provide.   Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

Hello @reeltime273

the only extension required is the Autodesk Fusion Post Processor Utility.

Maybe the extension cannot find the post.exe executable.

Go to the edit field show below (A), then press the F1 key

In the field enter "change" to filter the commands supported by the running extension(s), and click on the command indicated by the B arrow.

A tip dialog will appear in the bottom right corner of VSCode editor. Click on the browse button in that dialog

then navigate to an easy to find folder:   😮

The name of the part indicated by (A) may change, depending on the Fusion version installed.

Then you can try again to post with the VSCode extension.

Regards.

This error can also occur if the version of post.exe is lower than the version of the postprocessor. The postprocessor may use functions that are not yet known to post.exe. To fix the error, you need to update the software.
