Open Pocket Facing

Long time ago the idea was discussed under the topic "2D Pocket - Totally Open Contour".

Unfortunately years after it is still not there. Would be nice to add other strategies to the Facing operation.

The one I am looking in particular would generate the tool path similar to the one below.

This toolpath was produced with 2D Adaptive Clearing - and hence the curved tool path lines. I would like to see a simple path: South, West, North, East, etc with straight lines.

Any hopes for the future incorporation?

Just found the same idea under "Face milling Climp Option". Since 2016 Top voted, Most liked and still not incorporated. Any updates?
