We use HSM for a lot of similar parts (always based on customer models). We'll copy operations from previous program files, then re-touch the setups, geometries, tools, etc. to suit the current part we're working on. I'll frequently add notes to a setup or operation (right click on object in the tree, "edit notes"). This makes the notes appear conspicuously on the setup sheet, which is the goal. However, while in the program, the programmer doesn't know that there's a note there because there's no visual indicator. I'd love to see the little yellow pad icon appear somewhere in the tree (before or after the title) to indicate that a note has been placed. FYI - the pitfall here is that I'll place a note about an operation for part ABC about how to run the part. Then months later, we'll get an order for widget XYZ. I'll copy the operation from ABC to XYZ, which will bring the note with it. But the details of the note may not apply to XYZ and without a visual cue, I may not catch it before printing the setup sheets for the operator. If I had an icon in the tree, it'd be much more likely to be caught while finalizing the program. Thanks!
