I just did a clean reinstall of Windows 10, and on this same laptop I had previously ran HSM Edit to dripfeed via serial to a CNC vertical machining center.
I installed it from the free download of HSMXpress 2019 I downloaded a year or so ago, and I had not previously installed Solidworks on this particular machine - it just ran HSM Edit all by itself with no problem.
I had expected that HSMXpress 2020 would install similarly to HSMXpress 2019 on a Windows 10 laptop that does not have Solidworks installed; it would just work. But it doesn't work!
I get a popup called "Loading dll" "Could not load License.dll. Probably a redistributable is not installed e.g. redistributable VC++2012"
Then I get a second popup called "Error" "Please run Autodesk HSM to activate Autodesk HSM Edit!"
To be clear, I did not have this problem with HSMXpress 2019. Is it possible to just download that again? I thought I had the install file but I can't find it.
