HSMWorks 2014 R2

Hi all,

HSMWorks 2014 R1 was release a few days ago and we are now getting ready fro the R2 release which is probably ready some time after Autodesk University next month (aiming for mid-December).

The R2 release has a lot of internal changes so we need a longer testing period this time. It also means that you should verify the toolpath more carefully for now if you want to try it out. If you encounter issues you can always revert to the R1 release which is the one you should be using for production anyway 🙂

We will make a new public 2014 R2 available soon which fixes a few issues. The candidate release is available under the development downloads.

The progress update for Adaptive Clearing has never been reliable and with the new improved multi CPU support it got worse. However, the new update should fix the progress so it increased more steadily. Still room for improvement, though.

Technically it gets quite complicated to predict how much work each subtask running on each CPU is going to require but we aim for something that provides a good estimate.

Good to know,
Would be awesome to have a good estimate.
